iCal (for Mac, iPhone, and iPad)



On your Mac in iCal...
  • Open iCal and select Preferences from the iCal menu.
  • Click on the Accounts tab and then click the plus sign in the lower left to add a new account.
  • Select CalDAV as the Account Type and for a username / password use...
    • username: pause
    • password: onerror
  • In the URL, enter:
  • http://74.3.201.197/zulu/calendars/PauseNY2011/ (Apologies; We've taken the calendar down now that Pause is over.)
  • You'll get an SSL warning, click OK.

On your iPhone...
  • On then iPhone you'll use the same URL above, so you might want to email it to yourself so you can copy it from an email on your device rather than typing it. Instructions for creating a CalDAV account on your device follow.
  • 1. Click on Settings, then on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • 2. Under "Accounts" click " Add Account..." and select "Other".
  • 3. Under "Calendars" click " Add CalDAV Account"
  • 4. Where it says Server, enter the url above: paste this in if you've copied it from your email.
  • 5. Enter the username and password you use to connect to the FileMaker database.
    • username: pause
    • password: onerror
  • 6. Enter a name for your calendar like "PauseNYC2011"


Subscription URLs

Don't import these URLs, subscribe to them. This is a bit more work since you have to do it once per room, but it works on devices that don't support CalDAV.
